Learn. Think. Design
An Initiative to Promote Design Learning, Creative Thinking, and Problem-Solving
Design Horizon is a creative learning initiative by Dot Sphere, born from the understanding that today’s education system often lacks space for experimentation, collaboration, and human-centered problem-solving — skills that are essential in a rapidly evolving world.
Over the past few years, Dot Sphere’s design thinking workshops in engineering colleges revealed a strong demand for structured, hands-on programs that blend creativity, critical thinking, and real-world challenges. These insights became the foundation for Design Horizon — a vision to build a learning platform where curiosity drives action and ideas lead to impact. The name “Design Horizon” reflects a new way of thinking — one that goes beyond textbooks and linear methods, toward a future guided by imagination, empathy, and purposeful design.
At its heart, Design Horizon is about building a culture. A culture where students, educators, and professionals come together through workshops, mentorship, storytelling, and shared learning. It’s not just about design — it’s about reimagining how we learn, collaborate, and grow.

Need for Design Horizon Bridging Skills Gaps in the Modern World
Today, the ability to think creatively, solve problems, and adapt to change is essential — not optional. Yet, most traditional education still relies on rote learning and fixed outcomes, leaving little room for exploration or innovation.
Students may graduate with degrees, but often struggle when faced with real-world challenges. They know what to think, but not how to think.
Design Horizon exists to bridge that gap.
We believe design thinking — with its human-centered and solution-focused approach — is a powerful way to reshape learning. It helps students not just solve problems, but identify the right ones to begin with.
Through creative and innovative exploration, Design Horizon empowers learners to:
- Approach challenges with curiosity rather than fear.
- Ask better questions and understand user needs.
- Collaborate across disciplines and think holistically.
- Create purposeful solutions that are innovative, inclusive, and real.
What We Offer Our Programs
We believe that learning should be practical, engaging, and future-focused. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to equip students from schools and colleges, professionals, and communities with design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills that drive real-world impact. Whether you’re a student, an NGO, a corporate leader, or an aspiring designer, our programs provide the stepping stones that bridge the gap between theory and application.
Workshops/Seminars: Interactive sessions aimed at introducing participants to key design concepts, methodologies, and tools. Workshops will cover topics such as design thinking, critical thinking, innovative thinking, problem solving mindset, and more.
Design Challenges: Creative challenges and competitions designed to encourage participants to apply their design skills in real-world scenarios. Challenges will cover a range of topics and themes, providing participants with opportunities to showcase their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Mentorship Program: A structured mentorship program where participants are paired with experienced professionals from the design industry. Mentors will provide guidance, feedback, and support to help participants develop their skills and navigate their design career paths via community learning and e-learning.
Speaker Series: Engaging talks and presentations by industry experts, thought leaders, and successful professionals in the field of design. Speakers will share insights, experiences, and best practices to inspire and educate participants about various aspects of design.
Community Engagement: Involvement in community-driven initiatives and projects that aim to create positive social impact through design. Participants will have opportunities to contribute their skills and expertise to meaningful causes and make a difference in their communities.

Be a catalyst for change
(For Facilitators)
The Design Horizon Ambassadors Program is a leadership initiative that identifies and empowers passionate students, educators, and young professionals to champion creative skills and design-led problem-solving in their institutions and local communities.
Ambassadors serve as on-ground catalysts—organizing workshops, spreading awareness, and nurturing a culture of innovation and human-centered thinking.
Through structured mentorship, exclusive training, and resource support, ambassadors gain exposure to real-world design challenges and become part of a nationwide network of creative leaders. This program is ideal for individuals who believe in the power of design to create meaningful impact and are eager to drive the movement forward.
From experience to transformation.
(For Industry Experts, Educators, Guest Speakers)
The Alliance Program is collaborative initiative by Dot Sphere that brings together experienced design professionals, educators, and mentors to co-create meaningful learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in schools, universities, and other communities. Through this program, allied professionals work with the Design Horizon team on co-developing and delivering hands-on workshops, mentoring students, and representing Dot Sphere at partner institutions. It’s a way to combine expertise, passion for teaching, and real-world impact—while expanding access to design thinking and innovation-led education.
As awareness of design’s role in education grows, we’re expanding our reach—and looking to collaborate with individuals who believe in the power of creative learning. Through this program, allies join us to design and facilitate hands-on workshops, guide learners through real-world challenges, and represent Dot Sphere at partner institutions.
This is a short-term, high-impact opportunity—ideal for professionals looking to give back, stay connected to education, and collaborate with a growing network of design thinkers and educators.
Think beyond, imagine wider
(For Communities, Schools, Colleges, NGOs, Learners)
The Learner Community is the heart of Design Horizon — a growing network of curious minds, young creators, and future change makers across schools, colleges, and NGOs. It’s a space where students are not just taught, but encouraged to explore, question, and build.
Here, design isn’t limited to visuals — it becomes a way to think, solve, and shape the world. From discovering human-centered problem solving to developing real-world projects, learners engage in experiences that spark creativity, empathy, and purpose.
We work closely with educators, institutions, and social organizations to ensure access to meaningful learning, regardless of background. Whether it's a student discovering design thinking for the first time or a group from a remote school building solutions for local challenges — every voice is valued, and every idea has a place to grow.
Because when learners think beyond, they don’t just imagine solutions — they create impact.
